Anyway -- Hi my name is Jeff. I started my domestic appliance machine repair business in 1992 when I was made redundant from a company based in Brighton as a computer engineer. Up to this point I had always worked for companies, so it was the first time in my working career that I was working as a Self-Employed person.

After taking a course in how to run a small business, I then took another course on washing machine, dishwasher and microwave repairs (eventually I dropped repairing microwaves because the cost of the repairs was very often approaching the cost of a new one). The Dishwasher and Tumble dryer repairs was added to the business soon after.

I also, at about this time, started out selling new machines as well. If you check the New Machines page you can see pictures and details of the machines I currently have in my own stock. If I have not got one you like I can order it for you.

I would say that 70% of my repair business is either through repeat (I have many regular customers - and to those my thanks) or referral business - I've been passed around family and friends all the time! You can only achieve that by:

• being honest
• doing a good job
• all at a reasonable cost
